Stephen Rathmill, a resident of Hopkinton, is President and Co-
founder of Biotricity Medical™ Inc., a biotechnology/medical
device firm that is developing a living biogenerator to power
implanted medical devices (e.g. pacemakers) with inexhaustible
energy. Previously, Stephen was the principal of a management
and business consulting firm, S.C. Rathmill & Associates, and has
held positions at Digital and Data General.
Stephen served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines where he
met his future business partner, Simon Rock Levinson,
Ph.D. Stephen earned a Ph.D. in Leadership, Organizational
Systems and Behavior at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
He is past Chairman of the Leadership MetroWest Board of
Directors, and he works with several other nonprofit groups,
including the Framingham Rotary Club, and the Worcester
Mediation Center where he does pro bono divorce mediation.
Stephen is married to Nelly Sepulveda Rathmill,
Anne Rubenstein, a resident of Framingham, is a public
relations consultant and editor. She established Quote
Communications in 2002 and focuses on media products and
relationship building for schools, nursing homes and small
businesses. She began her professional life as a newspaper
reporter and editor, and also served as Director of Public
Information for Framingham Public Schools.
In the community she has served on the Board of the MetroWest
YMCA, Framingham Partners in Education, Temple Beth Am and
the Community Partnership for Children, and worked on behalf of
several community organizations including Jewish Community
Housing for the Elderly and The Help A Little One (HALO)
Foundation.
Anne is a 1996 graduate of the Leadership Academy. She
earned her B.A. in English and Journalism from UMass/Amherst
and holds numerous professional certificates.
David Magnani, is a resident of Framingham, and principal at
DPM Associates. He is a veteran of the Massachusetts
Legislature, where he served for 20 years as a State
Representative and then a State Senator, representing the 2nd
Middlesex-Norfolk District. He stepped down from his senate seat
in 2005 to found EdAction Associates, a consulting firm focused
on education and technology-based economic development. He
also served as founding Director of the Citizen Involvement
Training Project, which provided support to more than 400
nonprofit organizations in the course of eight years, beginning in
1976, earning national honors for innovation in education. He is
the founder of the Ashland Educational Community Center and is
involved in eleven different volunteer associations, including the
Board of Directors for the National Peace Corps Association.
Dave holds a Doctorate of Education and Masters of Education
from the UMass - Amherst, Masters of Public Administration from
Harvard University,and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern
University. He completed a Senior Executive Leadership program
at Harvard University’s JFK School of Government in 2003.

Jeanne McAllister, a resident of Norwood, is the President &
CEO of the MetroWest YMCA, a position she has served in since
1996. Jeanne has a long career with YMCAs in Massachusetts,
previously holding leadership level positions in YMCAs in
Waltham, Needham and the West Roxbury and Hyde Park
Neighborhoods of Boston.
She is an alumna of the Leadership Academy Class of 2000, and
has served on the Board of Directors since that time.
Jeanne is a member of the Framingham Rotary Club and is a
Past-President of the Waltham Rotary Club. She currently serves
and/or has served on several community Boards and Task
Forces, as well as numerous YMCA Boards and Committees at
the local, statewide and national levels. Jeanne is a graduate of
Framingham State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Early Education.
Judith Sallet, a resident of Ashland, is an alumna of the
Leadership Academy Class of 2003 and a former chairman of the
Board of Leadership MetroWest. Judith has a long history of
community volunteerism serving Ashland. She sat on the
Comprehensive Plan Committee and the Government
Reorganization Study Committee resulting in the creation of
Ashland’s Town Charter. Judith has served on the Affordable
Housing Board, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Ashland
Redevelopment Authority. Currently she is continuing her long
term commitment to the Open Space Committee.
An educator in Concord, MA for many years, Judith later became
a consultant/trainer for an early literacy and language acquisition
program. She earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School,
where she was an editor of school's journal, The Advocate. She
received a Master’s from R.I. College of Education, and a B.A.
from Smith College. Judith is trained in Mediation and Conflict
Resolution by the Framingham Court Mediation Services, and in
Consensus Building and Mediating Land Use Disputes at the
Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.
Denise Moorehead is a resident of Framingham, and alumna of
the Leadership Academy class of 2010. She has served as
director of education and outreach at Third Sector New England,
as communications and outreach director for the Unitarian
Universalist Service Committee, and as an international social
justice organization. Prior to her work with nonprofits, Denise
worked in higher education.
Denise has served on many boards and advisory committees and
most recently was a Greeley Foundation trustee. She founded the
Saratoga County Chapter of the NAACP and was elected to the
city’s Board of Education. Denise received a B.A. and an Ed.M.
from Harvard University, and was later selected as a Harvard
Administrative Fellow.
For more than 30 years, she has supported progressive social
change through her work and volunteer and civic commitments.

Karin Semizoglou, a resident of Shrewsbury, is an alumna of the
Leadership Academy Class of 2009. Karin is a Metro Market
Sales Manager for TD Bank. She has been with TD Bank since
2004 and has worked in the MetroWest area as a Financial
Service Representative, Assistant Store Manager, and Store
Manager during her tenure. In 2010, Karin transitioned from her
role as Store Manager in Wayland to VP – Regional Market
Manager | Metro West / South Shore.
Karin is a 2004 graduate of Providence College with a degree in
Business Management. She is on the board of Bethany Hill
School in Framingham, a non-profit educational housing program
for low-income adults and children sponsored by the Sisters of St.
Joseph of Boston. In 2010, Karin was the recipient of the “She’s
the One to Watch” award presented by the Metro West Chamber
of Commerce Women’s Initiative.

Betsy Pielocik, a resident of Franklin, is the manager of
community relations at Bose Corporation. Betsy’s responsibilities
include managing the company’s charitable contributions and
volunteer programs. She works closely with community leaders in
the nonprofit, educational and corporate sectors to gain an
understanding of the needs in the MetroWest community, as well
as trends and best practices in the industry.
Betsy is an alumna of the Leadership Academy class of 2010 and
is co-chair of the LMW Alumni Association committee.
She has volunteered for many community groups over the years
and currently serves on the board of the MetroWest Chamber of
Commerce and the advisory board for Furnishing Options in
Marlborough.
